Fitness Retreat Holidays to Turkey from London
Imagine swapping a grey London morning for a sunrise training session on the Turkish Riviera, then a coached lunch overlooking the Mediterranean. Turkey is one of the most exciting destinations we’re exploring for our next round of fitness holidays, and we’re building a waiting list of adults who want to be first in line when a Turkey retreat is confirmed.

We’re a London-based premium fitness brand, and our bread and butter is immersive fitness retreats that pair real training with proper rest, good food and expert coaching. So far we’ve run most of our trips to Morocco — including Agadir and Tangier — alongside a handful of European locations. Turkey keeps coming up in conversation with clients, and for good reason. This guide explains why it’s such a strong fit for a fitness holiday, which destinations we’re looking at, and how the waiting list works.
Here’s the honest part: we only confirm a new destination once there’s genuine demand for it. That’s why the waiting list matters. The more people who register interest in a Turkey trip, the sooner we can lock in dates, secure the right venue and open bookings. No deposit, no commitment — just a way of telling us “yes, count me in”.
Why Turkey works so well for a fitness holiday
Turkey has quietly become one of the world’s tourism heavyweights. The country welcomed roughly 64 million international visitors across 2025 and ranks among the four most-visited countries on earth, according to figures published by the Republic of Türkiye’s tourism authorities. For British travellers that scale brings real, practical benefits: frequent flights, mature hospitality, world-class resorts and a coastline built for the outdoors.
The setting is the headline. Turkey’s southern and Aegean coasts hold some of the cleanest beaches anywhere — the country ranked third in the world for Blue Flag beaches in 2025 with 577 certified, and the Antalya region alone accounts for 233 of them, the most of any province on the planet. Clear water, warm sea, dramatic mountain backdrops and long days of sunshine make for an environment where outdoor training stops feeling like a chore and starts feeling like the point of the trip.
Why it suits a transformation week: short flight, reliable sunshine, varied terrain for movement (sea swims, coastal hikes, beach circuits), excellent fresh produce, and a culture of hammams and wellbeing that pairs beautifully with recovery. It ticks the boxes we look for before we’ll run a wellness and fitness retreat anywhere.
Antalya: the headline destination
If we run a flagship Turkey retreat, Antalya is the front-runner. It’s the heart of the Turkish Riviera, and it closed 2025 with more than 17.5 million visitors — then opened 2026 with a record-breaking January of 234,037 arrivals. That popularity translates into the kind of infrastructure a retreat needs: serious resorts, a smooth international airport and easy access to both coast and countryside.
What makes Antalya special for fitness specifically is the variety packed into a small radius. You’ve got long Blue Flag beaches like Konyaaltı and Lara for morning runs and sea swims, the Taurus Mountains rising straight up behind the city for hiking and elevation work, and the famously mild, sunny climate that makes it a genuine year-round option rather than a summer-only one. Add waterfalls, ancient ruins to explore on active rest days, and a strong hammam and spa culture for recovery, and you have a near-ideal base for a body transformation programme compressed into a week.
Other popular fitness retreat destinations in Turkey
Antalya leads the list, but it isn’t the only contender. Part of the reason we ask people to register interest is so we can match the location to the group — a coastal training camp and a hiking-led mountain week attract slightly different crowds. Here are the Turkish destinations on our radar.
Bodrum
Bodrum sits on the Aegean in the MuÄŸla region and brings a more polished, boutique feel. Think whitewashed hillsides, a smart marina and a strong existing wellness scene. It’s a good fit for clients who want their training balanced with a bit of refinement — closer in spirit to our luxury retreats for busy executives.
Fethiye & Ölüdeniz
For the active, outdoorsy crowd this is hard to beat. Ölüdeniz’s Blue Lagoon is one of the most photographed beaches in the country, and the surrounding hills carry sections of the Lycian Way, a long-distance coastal trail that’s perfect for guided hiking days. Paragliding off BabadaÄŸ is the showpiece adventure for anyone wanting to push their comfort zone.
Marmaris & the Dalaman coast
A reliable all-rounder: sheltered bays for open-water swimming, pine-backed coast paths, and a Dalaman airport that keeps transfers short. Marmaris works well for mixed-ability groups where some people want intensity and others want a gentler, restorative week.
Cappadocia
The wildcard. Inland and high, Cappadocia trades beaches for surreal valleys, cave dwellings and that famous skyline of hot-air balloons at dawn. Hiking here is the main event, and the altitude and terrain make for genuinely demanding sessions. It’s the option for a movement-and-mindset retreat rather than a beach-body week.
KaÅŸ, Kalkan & Istanbul
KaÅŸ and Kalkan are quieter boutique towns loved by divers and hikers, ideal for an intimate small-group format. Istanbul, meanwhile, is the natural gateway city — some clients like to add a couple of urban days either side of a coastal retreat. We can build that in if there’s appetite for it.

What a typical day on retreat looks like
Every itinerary is built around the group, but our retreats follow a rhythm that works. Mornings start with a coached training session while it’s cool — a beach circuit, a strength block or a coastal hike depending on the day. Breakfast and downtime follow, then a midday focus on education: a nutrition workshop, a mobility class, or one-to-one coaching time. Afternoons mix a lighter second session with genuine recovery — sea swims, a hammam visit, or simply rest. Evenings are about good, well-portioned food and the kind of conversations that keep people motivated long after they fly home.
The aim isn’t to flog you for seven days. It’s to show you a sustainable template — how to train, eat and recover — that you can carry back into normal life in London. That’s where our wider services come in.
Getting there from London
One of Turkey’s biggest practical advantages is how easy it is to reach. Direct flights from London to Antalya average around four and a quarter hours, and as of June 2026 there were roughly 77 direct services a week on the route, flown by carriers including easyJet, Jet2, SunExpress, Wizz Air and Corendon. That short hop is a real plus — you land with the day still ahead of you rather than losing it to travel.
| Route | Approx. flight time | Direct carriers (2026) |
|---|---|---|
| London → Antalya | ~4h 15m | easyJet, Jet2, SunExpress, Wizz Air, Corendon |
| London → Dalaman | ~4h 10m | Seasonal direct & charter services |
| London → Istanbul | ~4h 00m | Daily direct, plus onward connections |
Flight times and frequencies vary by season and airline — always confirm current schedules before you book.
Travel, entry and safety: what British travellers should know
A fitness retreat is an investment in your health and your money, so we’d rather you go in fully informed. The guidance below reflects official sources at the time of writing — but rules change, so always check the primary source close to your travel date.
Entry requirements. British citizen passport holders can currently visit Turkey without a visa for up to 90 days in any 180-day period. The UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) states your passport must have an expiry date at least 150 days after your arrival date and at least one blank page.
Safety advice. The FCDO advises against all travel to within 10km of the Syria border; the coastal resort regions we’d use for a retreat sit far from those areas. Always read the live FCDO advice for Turkey before booking and before you fly.
Travel insurance. Take out comprehensive travel insurance that covers your planned activities (hiking, water sports and the like). Travelling against FCDO advice can invalidate your cover.
A note on “medical tourism”. Turkey is heavily marketed for cosmetic, dental and weight-loss procedures, and the FCDO has flagged a rise in complications among British nationals. Our retreats are about coaching, training and sustainable habits — not surgery or shortcuts. If lasting fat loss is your goal, our structured transformation programmes are the route we’d point you towards.
On the health side, anyone with a medical condition or who hasn’t trained in a while should speak to a GP before committing to an intensive week. We’ll always ask you to complete a health questionnaire and we scale sessions to the individual — nobody gets left behind, and nobody gets pushed past what’s safe.
Who our Turkey retreats are for
These trips suit adults who want a meaningful change — in fitness, in confidence, in habits — and who’d rather do it somewhere inspiring than slog through it alone at home. We welcome solo travellers (it’s one of the best ways to meet like-minded people, as we cover in our guide to fitness holidays for singles), couples, friends and corporate groups. Whatever your starting point, the coaching meets you where you are.
A retreat also works best as part of a bigger picture. Many clients train with us before they fly — whether through personal training in London or online coaching — and continue with nutrition support and weight-loss programmes afterwards so the results stick. You can see the full range on our health and wellness page, and pick up practical ideas from our blog, from simple meal-prep ideas to home workouts you can do between trips.
Travelling as a faith-conscious group? We’re experienced at accommodating that too — our guide to wellness retreats for Muslims explains how we handle halal dining, prayer time and privacy, all of which translate naturally to a Muslim-majority country like Turkey.
How the Turkey waiting list works
We arrange retreats to new destinations when there’s enough interest to do it properly. Registering is simple and there’s no obligation:
1. Register your interest — tell us Turkey appeals and, if you like, your preferred destination and dates.
2. We gauge demand — as numbers build, we scout venues, coaches and the best season to run it.
3. You hear first — the moment a Turkey retreat is confirmed, the waiting list is contacted ahead of any public launch, with priority on places.
The list is also how we decide between Antalya, Bodrum, Fethiye and the rest — so your preference genuinely shapes the trip. If you’d rather talk it through first, the team is happy to help via our contact page.
Frequently asked questions
Is a Turkey retreat actually confirmed yet?
Not yet — we’re measuring demand. Turkey moves to a confirmed trip once enough people have registered, which is exactly why the waiting list exists.
When is the best time of year to go?
Spring and autumn are ideal for training — warm but not punishing — and Antalya’s mild climate keeps it viable for much of the year. We’ll set dates around comfortable conditions.
I’m a beginner. Will I cope?
Yes. Sessions are scaled to the individual and our coaches adjust intensity throughout. Plenty of guests arrive having not trained in years.
Does registering cost anything or commit me?
No. The waiting list is free and non-binding. You’re simply telling us you’d like to be first to know.
